Jamming with The Band
That’s right. For those of you who came, you got to jam with the TROSA Band, provided by 2009 The Woofstock Experience sponsor TROSA! For those of you who let a couple drops of rain stop you from coming, you missed out!
TROSA is a great organization located in Durham, but which does a large number of services to better the entire Triangle. For that matter, all across the nation. Yet they remain the Triangle’s best kept secret.
On top of the services they provide to residents of TROSA, the residents give back to their community, contributing in a variety of ways that express their interests and talents. From the TROSA moving comany, the TROSA automechanic shop, the TROSA framing store, to the TROSA band, every resident contributes full work to their community and earn their sense of belonging.
Check out the video of the band, as well as their website. Make an effort to learn more about TROSA, and even get involved in their efforts!
Check These Pups Out!
All the Who’s Who of Triangle Pooches came out to The Woofstock Experience 2009! Let a little rain spoil a day of socializing, sniffing, great music, new toys, and playing?! No way!
On MyNC.com, Woofstock 09
After a gray, rainy Saturday, a crowd of pups came to Woofstock 2009 and brought their owners. The brief is on MyNC.com’s Durham County page, or you can watch the video here:
And don’t forget, more Woofstock Experience 2009 wrap-up videos and articles will pop up right here on the Official Woofstock Blog!
Woofstock 2009..Update
The Woofstock Experience 2009..The Twilight Bark will still be held tomorrow.
The weather will be the deciding factor as to what demonstrations can and can not be held. We definitely don’t want anyone’s dog to be injured should they slip on the wet grass. Should the weather be rainy the flyball demo will be canceled. The agility will be improvised with the seesaw component under one of the tents available to test your dogs balance. Samantha Seal of Sunny Acres Pet Training will be on hand to answer questions about agility. The K9 unit of the City of Durham will also be in attendance.
We’ve arranged for a number of very large tents to be put on the grassy area so that we can still have our contests and the above demos. Not to mention, the Trosa band live on the mobile stage. Of course, our guests of honors, the non-profit agencies as well as our wonderful sponsors will be in the pavilion.
Who doesn’t love the smell of a wet dog? Hopefully, they will be only slightly damp, or better yet, bone dry.
Update tomorrow.
